Why we should try to frame art?

Do you have an old poster rolled up in a tube in your closet? Maybe it is a shoebox full of photos and awards? Perhaps you wrote a book and want to immortalize the napkin that you jotted down the story idea on.

Whatever you've got, it would look amazing in a custom frame!

Here at Artworks we like to say, "You name it, we frame it." This means that you can bring in just about anything and we can help you choose elements to surround your piece in a frame. Whether its a few old photos, award medals, posters/prints, or even something like a guitar!

SHOULD I FRAME THIS?

Custom framing is a great way to preserve and display art and items that are important to you. Take a degree, for example. College or University Degrees are most often seen in frames in an office. A degree like that is physical evidence of something you accomplished, something worth letting others see. It is not something you would hide in the pages of a book, or in a desk drawer. You display it. In a frame.

Why not do the same for other significant moments or accomplishments in your life? That amazing concert you and your friends went to, bring in some photos, ticket stub, and maybe a broken drum stick...get those all laid out in a shadow box and hear that roar of the crowd every time you walk by.

You can repeat this idea for almost anything. Any moment, event, memory or achievement can tell people a story, or be the conversation starter for you to share a story.

WHY SHOULD I FRAME THIS?

The custom framing we do at Artworks goes beyond just picking up a frame from a department store. We have hundreds of frame and mat options to choose from to tailor the look to your specific piece. Acid free mats will help preserve your art longer, especially combined with UV protected glass. Nothing will stop all wear and tear, but quality materials will prolong the life of a photograph or a print.

So pull out that old movie or concert poster, those family photo albums, or just about anything else and come see us here at Artworks.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Once you come into the shop, one of our frame designers will greet you and help you through the process of selecting the right options for your piece, style, and budget. Custom framing is not an inexpensive choice, even if what you are framing is not. Our framers are here to help find the right choices for you! You do not need an appointment. You can just come right in any time we are open. Plan accordingly for time.

Choosing your framing options can go quickly, it can also take some time if you have multiple items or lots of ideas. Once your choices are all made and you commit to framing, we usually have pieces done in about 7-10 days to two weeks. This timeframe may alter occasionally depending on stock of a frame molding or mat choice. We do all the framing here in our workshop, and keep your items stored safely.

When your piece is all framed, including paper, and hanging hardware, we contact you to come pick up your framed items.
