Gib Patton opens Frame Factory
The Patton family opens the first DIY Frame shop followed by the second in ‘78 in the Harrisburg area. Later they rebranded to Framers’ Workshop. In ’79 after Gibs death, the siblings took over

Patton’s open Chop Express
Reed, Sue, Craig, and Bill Patton open Chop express, a chop and distribution service to supply their growing stores and others in the region.

The Patton’s begin selling to National Retailers like Target, At Home, Kirklands, and Lowes, under the name Patton Picture Co and Patton Wall Decor
